Take I-87, the New York Thruway, South (East) over the Tappan Zee Bridge.
A half mile after the toll booths for the bridge take Exit 8 from I-87 (the Thruway) to I-287 (Westchester Expressway).
Immediately take Exit 1 off I-287 to Saw Mill River Parkway North.
Take Saw Mill River Parkway North to the Hawthorne Exit (Exit 25).

- Turn right onto Middletown Road and make an immediate left into the facility.
- Follow 287W (87N) which leads to the Tappan Zee Bridge (no toll).
- After you cross the Tappan Zee Bridge (no toll), proceed to Exit 13S for the Palisades Interstate Parkway South (PIP).
- Take Exit 7 off the Palisades Parkway. Turn left onto Townline Road.
- Continue on Townline Road until it ends at Middletown Road.
- Turn right onto Middletown Road and make an immediate left into the facility.
From New York Thruway South (87S)
- Take the New York Thruway South (87S) to Exit 14 for Nanuet (Rt. 59). The NYS Thruway is a partial toll road.
- At the end of the exit, go straight across Rt. 59 and on to Grandview Ave.
- You will pass one 4-way stop sign on Grandview Ave.
- At the end of Grandview Ave (it comes to a T), take a left onto Convent Rd.
- At the end of Convent Rd., it comes to a T just after you cross the railroad tracks, make a right onto Old Middletown Rd.
- At the stop sign, bear right onto Middletown Road. You will shortly see the plant on your right.
- Turn right at the first set of lights and go into the facility.
- Take the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP) North.
- Take Exit 7 off the Palisades Parkway. Turn right onto Townline Road.
- Continue on Townline Road until it ends at Middletown Road.
- Turn right onto Middletown Road and make an immediate left into the facility.
- Take the Garden State Parkway North to the New York State Thruway South (87S). The GSP is a toll road.
- Take the New York Thruway South (87S) to Exit 14 for Nanuet (Rt. 59).
- At the end of the exit, go straight across Rt. 59 and on to Grandview Ave.

- Wind through residential area; at the 2nd light (at the bottom of the hill) make a left onto 304 N
- Exit 304N at Middletown Road (Nanuet)
- Turn right onto Middletown Rd N
- At 2nd light make a left into facility
- At the main entrance of the plant, make a right onto Middletown Rd.
- Take the first right onto Rt. 304S
- Go past the blinking yellow light
- At the next light, make a right onto Washington Ave.
- At the 2nd light, make a left onto Spring Valley Rd. (by Mobil)
- At the next light, make a right onto Grand Ave.
Visitor Parking
- From the main entrance, drive down the hill and park in the first parking lot immediately ahead on the right.
- Proceed to the one-story Security Building (72F) adjacent to the parking lot for entrance into the Site.
